Club Soccer Spotlight: So Cal Infinity '99

San Bernardino, California - So Cal Infinity '99 Blue GU10 in their final pool game was rematched against North County Pacific Soccer Club Thunder GU10 in the 2010 Coast Soccer League Spring Cup Tournament. Infinity once again gave up no goals and came out on top with a 3 – 0 victory earning a birth in the semi-finals.

NCP Thunder came out trying to prove their loss to Infinity during league play was a fluke.

However, the Gibraltar-like defense of Infinity would not be shaken. In the 7th minute of play, Infinity's Madison Kline found her teammate, Camille McDonnell, in prime scoring position. McDonnell converted the opportunity giving her team the early 1 – 0 lead.

The half continued with ebbs and flows of attacks from both teams. However Thunder was kept off the scoreboard, and Infinity saw no other goals in the half. Infinity players with shots on goal were Isabel Dehakiz and Madison Kline.

The second half opened with a flurry of ball movement. Infinity triangulated the ball into an opportunity at the 2nd minute of the second half. Infinity's Kline found Claire Murray in perfect position. Murray made a deft tap and guided the ball over the diving Thunder keeper and into the net. This score extended the Infinity lead to 2 – 0.

Minutes later at the 4th minute of play, Dehakiz from Infinity gave Murray a well placed ball. Murray with soccer balls in her eyes saw to scoring her second goal of the match putting the game out of reach at 3 – 0 and guaranteeing her team a place in the semi-finals as the top of Pool B.

The second half continued without another score. However, Infinity dominated in ball possession once again as is quickly becoming their trademark. Mia Richardson, Maricarmen Reyes, Isabel Dehakiz, Madison Kline, and Ava Gomez were Infinity players all with shots on goal which were unrealized.

Infinity's victory gave them top standing in Flight 1 of Pool B for the girls under-10 grouping of Spring Cup. They will face Los Alamitos Soccer Club Fury who finished second in Pool A in the semi-final game scheduled for the 15th of May at the San Bernardino Sports Complex.
