San Diego Youth Soccer News: So Cal Infinity GU10 Wins Albion Championship
So Cal Infinity GU10 won the 2010 Albion Cup Showcase Championship held in San Diego on July 17th through July 19th. More than 340 teams participated in this year's Albion Cup representing 15 states from around the country plus 5 foreign teams traveled to San Diego to play soccer. This prestigious soccer tournament is one of the highest ranking for scoring points in the Got Soccer national rankings.
So Cal Infinity GU10 beat HSC Bulls team 2-0, San Diego Surf 3-0 and Vaqueros 3-0 to earn their place in the semi finals in the Albion Cup.
In the semi finals Infinity faced off with Eclipse Blue and played a great game finishing off with an 8-0 win. In the final Infinity played the HSC Bulls again and the team knew they were going to have battle on their hands. Both teams played very hard and the game was a back in forth physical game. Infinity scored in the 14th minute to take a 1-0 lead which turned out to be the final score. For the weekend Infinity outscored their opponents 17-0 and finished with 5 shutouts.
