San Diego Boca FC (2-1-0) captured their second straight win, a 3-1 victory, Saturday night against the visiting Southern Oregon Fuego (0-4-0) at Helix High Soccer Stadium in front of a boisterous crowd of almost 1500 fans.
San Diego Boca FC Head Coach, Papo Santos said, “This was a good victory, although in all honesty we only played well in the second half, which is where we won the game. I thought we came out flat, and I told the guys at half time if they don’t get their heads in the game, they might as well go home, and they responded well.”
Boca moves up in NPSL standings with this victory.

| Sound familiar? I am sure a lot of Southern California youth players have heard these same words and many have rallied just like BOCA and won! As many players realize, they just have to try harder. |
C OACH'S COMMENT: Former US National team player and coach Jen Lalor-Nielsen says "As a coach, I stress to my High School Varsity soccer team, college team, and/or high level players not being mediocre.”
Coach Jen is committed to qulaity and always doing your best. "It’s not ok to just go through the motions when you step on the field for practice or games." says Jen. "Players need to always be giving their very best effort in everything they do – whether it’s soccer, school, or life. The best players are the most consistent players regardless of the opponent or situation. I like to stress playing with passion, energy and heart and being mediocre doesn’t fit into this equation."
